Mort57, you should post some pictures of your engine here. Also search the board for "buffalo". From that vintage most of what is available will be catalog information. Thanks!

Most likely you will need a buzz coil type of ignition. One for each cylinder.
Lots of info on those and plenty of experience with them on this web site, too.
Pictures really help - more = better
