For anyone who is restoring or building a boat , a bandsaw is a requirement. The notes about re-sawing at this site www.falbergsaws.com and about the geometry of the set of the teeth is 100% spot on. In particluar have a look at the Re Saw page. I suspect that the same geometric rules appply to hand held jig saws.
