Anyone got photos or info about Swartman Boats with Buffalo Engines built in Waubaushene, Ontario, Canada in the late 1800's and early 1900's? My wife's grandfather owned a 40' Swartman double ender called the Zingari which was used for hunting and fishing expeditions on Georgian Bay. It had a 6 cyl Scripps(?) engine. Looking for more info on these boats and engines.

You should start with the Grace and Speed Museum for wooden boats in Gravenhurst.
They have a whole network of volunteers that work on gathering historical information about boats built in Ontario.
With a bit of digging I would not be surprised that you get some interesting material / infomation.
You might also try the wooden boat Museum in Clayton New York.
