Saw this boat in WA recently and talked to the owner who would like to find out the history of the vessel, ie: what USN ships it was carried on. Hull is Cypress (sp?), about 60', with a cruiser stern. USN registration number was 5439, which is still visible on a metal plate on the bows. Any help appreciated. Have a couple of photos if useful.

Robert , This may be to simplistic of an idea but you might try looking for a website for the Naval Academy Library at Annapolis, Maryland . Also Dept of the Navy in DC. The USN registration # I can imagine would be in some reference at the Naval academy.Let us know what you find.
