I am having difficulty starting my Kingfisher engine. I believe it is operator error.

The engine has good compression and good spark.

I can get it to start and run out of the water but not in. I don't want to damage the engine by running it with no water feed. At the same time there is no point in putting the boat in the water if it won't start.

I have zero experience with this carburetor.

I am using fresh, clean premium fuel with a 25:1 fuel: oil mix.

Can someone please advise me on starting technique?

Cheers!
