My interest is the Block and Head Castings of Austin (& Morris) which I have been researching for some years. I understand Austin Marine Engines were based on the Engines used in their vehicles but I dont know which castings were used (I have a library of examples). I am asking for any Codes or even better photos of the Head and Block that show the codes. Incidentally, AF stands for Austin Foundry and the number is the Pattern Number. Austin made Marine Engines pre-WWI, the 1930s and again the 70s as far as I know.
