Working on an old marine engine with a wet head about 1910 and the head gasket looks original, its sheet lead and appears to be reusable ?? anyone experienced using lead or should I cut a gasket out of the heavy woven backed gasket material that I have been using ??

If it was on there and working I'd be tempted to put it back, only reason not to would be for show and tell. |
