Robert - Thanks for the good photos ! As with many Canadian Marine engine Mfgrs of that time they rarely advertised in U.S boating publications, I do have them on my list of mfgrs and have only seen one ad, it was in Motor Boat Magazine Feb 25 1912 pg 104, The Trade Name was "CANADIAN".

Thanks Richard. Nice to see the date on the tag I must say. Perhaps they did not last long, or didn't stay with marine engines long.

Robert,
Were you able to purchase the engine? Appears to be in excellent shape.

Blair,
No I did not. The price was very high; $2000. CAN or thereabouts. The owner was only selling because he needed to finance another project. You know how it is when it's something you love...!

Robert, I think I just saw one of these engines this weekend at an auction sale in Ontario. It was a 2 cylinder, 5 h.p., completely restored. The tag was missing from the motor, but a newly made tag was attached to the wood stand, calling the engine a WILSON MARINE ENGINE made in WALKERVILLE, ONTARIO. Would the "W" in "W & K" stand for WILSON? By the way, the engine sold for $875.
