We are getting ready to restore an early Fay and Bowen engine that we have had for a few years and are in need of a little help. We need a carb, water pump and possibly a flywheel. Anyone have one? Any pictures of what they should have been? What brand? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pictures of what you have and any information from a name plate would help.

My Fay & Bowen 2-stroke marine engine have serial no 1529. Different Fay & Bowen adds show different carburettors. My carb is marked with "Enerator Valve Co. New York".

The engine was found mounted in an empty lifeboat running ashore on the Swedish west coast in around 1910-1920. It was taken care of by a wholesaler and put into his boat where it was used during some years. Next owner put it in his boat and used it for one year. In around 1985 I found it disassembled in his garage. Now I will start the restoration.Carb 1Carb 2Carb 3Water pump 1Water pump 2Water pump 3Water pump 4

Does anyone recall the ignitor that was posted for identification a while back- I think Keith nailed it as a Fay Bowen igniter. Passad may need it for a second FB engine. Andrew???
