Now that the Simplex 6/7 is running well I've started looking at the Dynastart. Like the rest of the engine it has suffered from an excess of moisture. So a few questions come to mind.
What is the best way to generally clean it inside?
The blue 'wire' at the bottom of the photo - should it be connected to something?
If I replace the brushes, where do I get them from? One of them has 04K stamped into it.
What tests can I perform to check that it is all ok?
And all other suggestions appreciated.
