Ran this 3hp engine for 5 minutes. All seemed ok.
Re-checked timing and found that flywheel was 30 degrees off correct TDC.
Was very surprised and wondered if flywheel had move on crankshaft. Cotter pin seemed firmly in place. Tried to remove pin with lots of MD 40 spray and gentle tapping with hammer.
No joy. Any suggestions or advice much appreciated.
User manual appears to show grove near base of pin.
Thanks,
Ivor.
