Hello everyone . New to discussion board and not sure where to start. Recently was in Newfoundland and was given a 5hp Mianus and a pail full of brass and that is all I know about it. Was hoping someone would send me in the right direction to find any material that would pertain to this engine. The ID tag has Ser:88710. Pat#Sep3,1907 andApr26,1910. I have the top half dismantled after spending the last two weeks soaking the stuck piston and gently encouraging it to come free. I was surprised how good the bore and piston looks, no stuck rings and cylinder wall is smooth. There were no other parts attached so I won't know where anything goes. The only piece I can name is the carburetor, the rest is just brass parts.I have a McCormick Deering LB5 which I brought back to life but finding what I needed to know was easy as the engine was only built in 1948. Thanks gents for any information you can send my way. Will enclude photos when I figure that one out.

Here are Ed's Pics
Wow a Mianus with a good water jacket. Now that is pretty rare! It looks like Ed has it all and even a few Acadia parts.
Good luck with it they are fun!
Ernie
