Ok I tried this last night but it never showed up that I can find. I have a 3 hp wonder engine that Im finally going to work on and get running. It would be nice to know its history appears to have very little use and almost every bolt is loose
My first question is on the connecting rod bolts for both the crankshaft and water pump rod it uses bolts without nuts and the bolt heads are drilled for what I would have thought was for safety wire but there is no good way to run the wire and the con rod holes have cotter pins in them. This would let the bolt loosen until the cotter pin hit thr crank shaft

My second observation is that the tension adjust machine screw to keep the timer from being turned when the timer shaft t.urns screws in but can not be tightened due to the hole is threaded on both sides. So either there was a special machine screw made with a shoulder cut in under the head or one side was never reamed out to get rid of the threads
Anyone have any knowledge about these items. Thanks
