I am looking at possibly purchasing a 1969 Luhrs 32' Flybridge Sedan with a single HT6.354 Perkins, but I have heard that it is a very rare engine model (HTs rather than a standard 6.354) and parts and service maybe a problem with it.
Another option is to purchase one with a more expensive Luhrs with a Chrysler 318. (I prefer single engines due to fuel consumption). Any advice is appreciated.

That engine shold be just a version of the 354 engine. There are lots of differant ones around and they take differant gasket sets, but mostly the head gasket will interchange. Are you sure its HT6 ? The AT6 is a very common engine, turbocharged with high brunell sleeves. If you get the serial number you (i) can look up the engine if its covered in my tables. The serial number is on the base just below the injector pump.
