how old what size, any info at all cant seem to find anything like it , loads of coventry engines but none like mine,most grateful for your help

Coventry Climax did a CDM engine, I'll check my catalogues tonight and see how theyb compare.

If you could get the full number off the injection pump, that would help also.

The reverse gear and bellhousing adaptor sure look Yanmar. However the flywheel housing is most likely a standard size.
You can check the numbers on the reverse gear and they may help you identify it and possibly the engine

Hi Your engine is:- a COVENTRY DIESEL C.D.M.Q 383 (note Q not O) normally fitted into fork trucks and the likes, could be 15hp could be 18hp not sure which yours is, and I do not know how to date it, wish I did, as I have one myself, rathe envious of the gearbox on yours, mine has a simply clutch housing and output flange, best regards martin
