Hi,

We are in the final stages of rebuilding a Renault Couach RC16D marine diesel engine, but do not have a service manual. Would be pleased to hear from anyone who knows what the correct torque is for the cylinder head bolts.

Thanks,
Gary

I have an RC16D marine engine in my motor sailor and my owner's manual says the torque for the cylinder head nuts is 8.5 kg/metre and the cylinder head studs is 3kg/m. Could scan this page for you for tightening sequence if you send me your email address.
Do you know where I can get a cylinder head gasket?
Peter

Peter,

I would really appreciate it if you could send me the page. My e-mail is: [email protected].

I'm unfortunately not sure where one would source the head gasket - we've had to have one specially made up. You could try the parts dealers in Europe: www.renaultcouach.com

Thanks again,
Gary

If you have a pattern I have had very good luck with www.gasketstogo.com. making compressible copper head etc. gaskets.
