I just purchased an old Drofin which I want to put in a boat. I have a manual and from my front deck I can see part of Woy woy. Live at Killcare. I have a question for you. On the gear box. Is forward when the leaver is pointing towards the motor or is forward when the lever is pointing towards the back of the gearbox.
regards

Noel

Will send a private Email regarding the Name and Telephone number of a contact regarding your motor. I spoke to him about it and a few problems I have. He has parts and a great deal of knowledge re this motor.

Regards

Noel

I've rebuilt mine - rings, injectors&pump element, bigend, valves, and am suspect of the governor. It revs well in neutral but won't build speed beyond idle under load - unless it gets a turbo boost from canned ether or hot air dryer into air cleaner. Then it still won't hold power, and I've gotten fresh diesel, drained filter etc. I'm worried the governor isn't increasing fuel flow but the manual has very little info. The local mechanic has very little idea. Geoff 0438 684318

I've purchased a Drofin 12M which I am going to rebuild into a 12v generator set. Where can I get things like pump impeller, oil filter and other spare. Would appreciate any response.
