Hi all, need to source a top gasket set for my BMC 1500 but it appears there are 2 different types of sets. I have searched the web to no avail to try find out which model BMC I have as there was 3 x different types. The only numbers I can fine are: 15P/785A/D2027 which are on a metal plate, there is also "1500D" and "A4 D7" on the actual engine. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hi I am almost sure they are all the same, I needed a head set two/three years ago for mine and I went to my local motor factors and he looked it up in an old book and said it was the old BMC J type engine 1500cc diesel, it was ordered and everything fitted fine, I have found the bill for it and the part no on the bill is CE780 but I am not sure whos part no that is, also the same head set fits the Thornycroft 90 engine,
and the price two/three years ago was £35-83 :-)
hope this helps,
Keith

Hi Keith, thx for the info. I have found a couple of gasket sets that are for a JB J2 HEAD and emailed them to see if they can confirm that they are what is needed. Fingers crossed eh!!!

Would anyone know of a BMW D7 and/or D12 for sale as a whole motor whether running or not? Thank you, Robert
