I have a 1967 US Navy LCVP with a GM 6-71 Gray Marine diesel engine. I am told that the engine is a lot older than the boat, I would like to know what year it was made and if possible, what its original purpose was.
Serial no.-6A33871
Model no.-671RC41
Gray Marine is stamped on the front of the motor and GM General Motors is stamped on the side of the block.
Any help would be much appreciated. |
