post this information from my data base.

"Sandusky Marine Engine Makers"

1. C.P. Barber 1904-05 to 1907 designer and maker
of Vim marine engines, became Vim Motor Company in 1907.

2. A.G.Cuthbert Power Boating Feb 1921 Buyers index*

3. George Holloway applied for patent 1899,Had two intake ports per cylinder.
Article Horseless Age 1899 pg 713

4. C.L.Johnston, 4 cylinder, 4 cycle in 1929,
has a tie in with Roberts.

5. Mathews Engineering Company 460 Monroe Street
MotorBoating Magazine 1915

6. Ohio Motor Company making marine engines prior to 1903

7. Roberts Motor Company 1906 Clyde Ohio, moved to Sandusky,Ohio in 1908
Edmund Wilson Roberts widely published Turn of the century engineer, designed some 150 engines before starting his own Co. in 1906.

8.Vim Motor Mfg Co. Hancock & Market Streets in 1906 / new plant Water & Meigs Street in 1911

Thanks for Your interest guys. I hope others can make it to share info and get engines photographed w/ owners along with history of both. We plan to expand the information in the Maritime Museum's archives with all your help. As you all know, sharing stories and getting information documented might save the history for future generations.
Keep sharing your thoughts. Love to hear more.
