I have a recommendation for an addition to your list of museums featuring old marine engines. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin has over 60,000 square feet devoted to great lakes marine history and includes a number of excellent exhibits of old marine engines including small, one cylinder engines all the way up to giant engines used in lake ships. It also features a WWII submarine at anchor, the USS Cobia, which was one of several built right in Manitowoc and returned to become part of the museum's permanent display.
