are there any tricks or special tools used to remove the starter withou removing the generator?
I can feel the bolts but cant get a socket on them due to the starter housing
if you have to remove the generator, how do disconnect the waterpump driveshaft?

I removed my 4-112 starter from below the generator. Easy. Yours must be a different engine. Might want to post more information.
