Hi all, Have finally finished the clinker launch to accommodate the P66. Launching in a few day once shaft coupling arrives. Been trying to locate a 12 x 8 prop as several of you guys reccommended, however I bought a perfect 11 x 10 on trademe for $25 which will do in the meantime, not sure how it will affect performance. Re-assembling the P66 was not as difficult as expected although the manual is really glib, following one sentence on fitting the block over the pistons and rings while holding a 25kg engine block with one hand and fiddling with rings etc took 6 hours, finally had to use chain block to support the block accurately, anyway motor runs well, lots of blue smoke!!! hope thats normal. Have altered the exhaust to inject the raw water into the exhaust closer to the block. Attached are a couple of photog's. Will report in after launching, Cheers, Roy Jones

Well done. Lovely job. Hope you get lots of fun to reward all your effort. Are you using the right oil and right proportions? 1:48 and not two stroke oil: Straight SAE 30. Why don't you come to the Rotoiti (North Is) Wooden Boat Parade?

Hi Malcom, Thank you, yes I think I got it right with the fuel however I will mix it differently next time in a separate container before filling the fuel tank as I could possibly have gone wrong there, debated about 2 stroke oil but read back through the forum and got the impression that 30 grade was better. Considered Lake Rotoiti for Waitangi weekend and it may still happen.Kind regards, Roy
