well after buying my hurley silhouette and working out that the engine was no good after 5 years without running i decided to take it out and see what was wrong got it to the garage and took the carb apart cleaned it put it back on and still didnt work. next i looked at the spark and magneto, took the main plate of the magneto and it was full of crystilised salt (after the boat had sunk it wasnt seen to i guessed) so gave it a clean out and put it back together with new condenser and still didnt fire up so i looked at the carb again as now it was flooding, and one of the valves had gone oval shaped (not sure if this is common or how it happens) so ordered new valve and float needle from fairways and shes going like a gooden. its a r3m 1 1/2 hp and im impressed that after 5 years, been under water, and all it needed was a good clean out and 2 new bits. any way brill site you got here very helpful with pics
cheers jamie
