I was down south last weekend and visited a most interesting chap in Palmerston North about six hours drive south of us here. He restores to a high standard. He had a most elegantly restored Stuart 1.5 hp. I have never seen one in the flesh and what a lovely little piece it is -you might have one on your mantlepiece.
I also have attached a pic of my Stuart 4 hp now installed in a new boat. The boat is to the plan of Kingfisher which is in Stan Grayson's book Old Marine engines. She should be launched in a month or so and I will keep you posted.
There is also a pic of a small Stuart self contained generating plant with radiator and all, with a museum just out of Palmerston. I have heard about these but not ever seen one.
I will send another email with a couple of engines that need ids.
