Hi All,
I'm just starting to have a good look at what I've brought, a P55ME (60B420), replaced in 1963 by a new engine. The boat was built in 1960, don't know the story there, I wonder if the other engine I have was the original? I note that the Solex carb has a spring loaded choke(first time I've come across that), also that there is a spring button on top of the electrics, does this start the engine, by-passing the ignition switch or does it stop it? It all seems to be ST gear, down to the fuel tank and exhaust/stern gear etc.
I also have another engine, in bits, not sure what I want to do with it yet, it looks as though it could do with some tlc.
Not too much work to do, it seems to have been well looked after.
