Hi people, I am having huge trouble parting the head from the block and block from the crankcase. This engine is a P55M with lucas mag and solex carb, it was only used for a few years then left in the boat for the next 30 something. Inside the covers is bucket load of black jelly , very ugly.I'm was a mech fitter by trade and have tried all the usual methods heat hammers and levers and have just got a little movement from the block using a car jack. Just how tight can these joints get??
