Many, many years ago we bought a Hicks engine up on Lake Almanor. We were hoping to restore it and install it on a boat but have never gotten around to it. We're thinking perhaps there is someone out there who would be interested in buying it and giving it a good home. Do you have any suggestions for how to go about selling it? |

Conni and Jim, The Hicks engine is a very desirable engine. I'm sure there will be collectors that are interested in providing a home for it. You have a number of choices for selling it:
- our classifieds at MarineEngine.com
- eBay and other online sales sites
- Gas Engine Magazine
I tend to think that visitors to our site (biased opinion I admit ) are going to be most likely to restore it and appreciate it. Depending on the condition of the engine, the restoration could be very difficult, expensive, and time consuming. You could post some pictures here if you wish or send them to me by email and I will post them. It might help you get some constructive feeback on it. Good luck! |
