Nice looking complete old engine.
A date of manufacture by serial numbers is still not an exact science but by my charts its a depression era engine about 1931.
Lathrop was most concerned with oiling his engines and kept his mechanical oiling system long after the mid teens when most oilers disappeared with the mixing of the gas and oil in two stroke engines. This engine still has its dual oiler up top and a rather unique plunger oiler at the crankcase also known as a "crank pin disk oiler" a pre lube before starting engine- roll flywheel on compession then back up 1/2 turn putting connecting rod in down position, open petcock- stroke plunger accordingly close petcock-open dual oilers start engine ! with gas oil mix oilers are for show !

Awesome thanks so much. Is there a market for these engines? Ballpark value?
