Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the machinery in photo might be ?
Taken in 1957 at Pegwell Bay.
Me uncovering it age 7..
Old negatives just discovered..but none as clear as this
I think it looks like some sort of marine transmission, gearbox, dropbox..
Any thoughts gratefully received.
At the time we were told it was from an MTB
however it seems more likely it was something from one of the Dunkirk evacuation boats that came into Pegwell.
This has to be low res for file size but if anyone wants I can send high res copy.
Thanks in advance
all best
Nick
