Hello everyone, I have a Ferro single cyl outboard. in good shape. I am interested in getting it to run. any info on this would be greatly appreciated. or where I can get info on the engine. mine says model A Ill post a photo soon. |

Ferro made two slightly different styles of the same single cylinder outboard, ca, 1917-19 or so.
The only difference is the muffler. Mine has the earlier type which comes in three pieces. The later one had what appeared to be a single piece muffler. I've never seen this version. Will wait for photo
You should have the magneto and it should have a good spark. Clean the points mechanism if it doesn't. Set points at .020 (worked on my Ferro). |
