I am changing the piston, rings and wet sleeve on my old Sabb.
Has anyone there done this before? I have taken off the cylinder head and am ready to remove the engine block from the gearbox, but am unsure how to actually do this. All the bolts are slackened - will the two halves simply separate? Do I NEED to do this, or can I change the piston assembly without removing the two halves?
Can anyone give a wee bit of advice please?
Thanks a lot,
