I got about an hour of various views of the Palmer YT-1 powered Fantail. (Silent of course because all you'd hear is the props of the drone). Also took a friend for a ride and the weather was beyond perfect. Of course, on the way home at the end of the day, was misfiring again which is quite nerve wracking! Going to address that in another topic when trying a hotter ignition setup.

Here's a short one with an old effects filter, and will add more clips to this topic later. He filmed everything in 4k so pretty sharp.. enjoy...

OK here is it is. I stitched together the footage best I could. No one will confuse me with Steven Spielberg! (Although I have met the Spielbergs once, which is pretty cool. Very nice folks)

A drone doesnt capture audio so I dubbed in the sounds except for the very beginning.

When first putting in gear its cool to see the prop wash, you can see the individual blade pulses in the water, and they can be felt in the boat. Low RPM is really cool that way.

Yes, the boat wasnt tied to the dock properly, and I even forgot the flag. The result of 2 hours of sleep. The drone pilot was really good, and I was happy to "buy local" for this.

Also, looks like the captain needs to go on a diet.

That's good video of your boat. Seems to be running fine.
Your engine speed seems a lot lower than mine when running . I use a 13 x 13 prop and get about 5 mph at 500 RPM

Miro

I've been really busy at the camp, de-summerizing and winterizing - usually takes about 2 weeks or so

thanks guys. miro, remember that sound was added. actual RPM that day was just over 500rpm most of the time with less going past the tugboat and marina. It does +/- 5mph with 13x13 at that rpm, very very close to yours!

EDIT: also Miro, my engine is a 4 stroke therefore it is firing half as often as a 2 stroke at the same rpm...
