I am renovating an old sailing boat fitted with a Brit Imp engine. So far I have found out that these engines were made in Brifport in Dorset but not a lot else. Can anyone give me more information about these engines please?

Also they come in single, two and four cylinders from 2 to 20 HP. Sorry no mention in my book of an Imp.
