Would any of our British member posters here have insight on the Mitcham Motor Co. at Cowes, Isle of Wight circa 1905? I just recently discovered a 2003 "Classic Boat" article clearly showing a Mitcham Motor Co. 1 1/2 hp igniter fired engine. The engine displayed is identical to the period Fay and Bowen engine of Geneva NY; USA. Wanting to know if Mitcham Motor co. was the Fay and Bowen co UK distributor and/or a lisenced rebrander? Any information in this regard will be appreciated.
