I have a volvo penta saildrive 2001 series.Volvo recommend changing the diaphram every 7 years. My boat is not used very much, and the diaphram looks to be in good condition.I'm not sure if this period of time would depend upon the amount of use or just time detioration of the rubber. Can any one shed any light on this matter and any tips on the best way to change the diaphram would be much appreciated.

Brian,

You might be better off asking that question on the
Volvo Penta Diesel category on the MarineEngine.com site.

You will need to register again there, or just post as a guest.
