can you post some pictures of the exhaust manifold straight on? Only the very early evinrude was blank. How about a picture of the mixer side and back side. A top picture showing the flywheel will also provide clues, The fuel mixture valve sticking straight up is different than any evinrude I have seen. with a few more clues Im sure I can confirm what it is |

Yes I believe its an Evinrude also
Is it forsale?. if so contact me off list. If not have fun working on it. I believe I can use yours and a engine I have to make a complete one,
The head/cylinder on this motor is more blunt than on mine
It has the small fuel cap that puts it at early/middle teens, Your exhaust manifold only has one center bolt holding the can on like the later teens motors, my 1912 has 2 bolts holding the can on, But yours does not have the Evinrude lettering like the like the later teens motors. There are several conflicts here
Yours does not have the water port in the top of the exhaust manifold,or the exhaust gas relief valve on the back either, humm confusing??
It is very possible that your motor was made up from parts or had used parts put on it during its life to keep it going. Field repairs are quite common. I bought one early motor that has a recast cylinder on it. I guess somebody was doing that many years ago. I have also seen recast transom mounts. People had to make do! |

I just went to you website, You have a good top picture there, I have never seen that flywheel on a Evinrude, I have 10 plus of these and they are a favorite or mine, I am no longer sure what this is, Some of the features look like lockwood ash, but the tank looks like Evinrude. to the books! |
