My old 14Ft boat has an Albin engine, cant see any ID plate saying what model it is. It has always been hard to start and now wont fire up at all even using Easy Start, checked spark/petrol and that seems ok. So it looks like I will need to repair or replace it. I'm looking for same motor in working order and or spare parts and gaskets if any one has any info it will be appreciated
I have a photo but size is to big (500Kb) to post, working on shrinking it

Thanks
Allan Lambert Aust

Victor,
Thanks very much for the info, My engine looks like an 021 model but has some differences to the info you sent,Starter motor is 6 volt and has a full housing around the fly wheel and maybe some other differences, no coil?
I'm away working in Malaysia until next month so will have good look when i get back. Do you know if all parts are available, at the least a manifold, carburetor and caskets for same.Starter motor and part view of fly wheel housing

Hi

Normaly you have a bras carburator, it can be a newer model also like the one on the O22 in most cases if there is a coli the magneto is not working as it has to be and the coli provide the spark is cheeper than replace the magneto and it works. there are models that have the housing around the are more rare here in europ i think its the combi

Victor,

Thanks again, I will wait until i get back to Aust in a couple of weeks.are you associated with Forsmarin?, I'm sure I will looking for parts or another motor of the same model as it will be to hard to change engine type in my boat and i like the old albin 2cyl. Still not sure why mine is a 6 volt system and not 12 volt like the manuals say.

Hi, I have an Albin 011 installed in my 1936 Blackwater Sloop in Devon, England. It has provided me with good service since about 1989 when I first installed it, having bought it at an auction. It looks very like the one in the photo. I have an owners manual I could copy and e-mail if needed.

Nick,

Thanks for info. I think my engine is an 021 though its a bit different from the feedback I'm getting. I have a manual which covers 011 and 021 which I downloaded from the sites that Victor gave me.

My boat is nothing fancy just an old 14ft timber launch but I have become quite attached to it over the years.

My only problem is there doesn't seem to be any one in Aust with any parts.

There is a guy in the UK called John Stanton that I think has parts for the 011 and 021. His number is 01590 681848. I've just got an old 011 running which will be overhauled and put back in the boat it came from, so I'll hopefully be getting parts from him myself.
