Got these bones the other day.
I think it was a Waterman. It started life as a fire pump. I say Waterman because you can see where the tag was on the front water jacket and it was about 1 inch in diameter as other Waterman engines I have seen.
The crankshaft is no good and the front crankcase has a large hole where the connecting rod cap exited. The complete cylinder actually has compression. My intention is to make a 1 cylinder copper top out of it.
The front cylinder bore looks pretty good as well as the piston. As you can see the copper jacket was crudely repaired. If anyone needs the cylinder and piston that are off the crankcase give me a holler. They are cheap. I just need to give the guy that gave it to me something for his efforts.

I really like projects like that. I have a few laying around here, waiting for retirement. |

Look forward to watching this one come together.
Will you be able to use the flywheel as is or will it need to be different for the one cylinder configuration? |

The original flywheel was in several pieces.
My plan is to use the flywheel laying behind the cylinder on the bench |
