The timer handle is wrong for a Watertown but to me it sort of looks like one. I think most of the Watertowns had valve type handle on the top end of the handle.

RB, Definitely a cool old photo !

The Smith electric engines 1903-05 and the same engine new company name Watertown in 1905-12 had 5 bolt heads!

I agree with Ernie 1910 or earlier !

The 4 bolt head, timer handle, exhaust port(left side in this photo), rectangular name tag are clues ??

The picture is an old post card that my buddy Fred Abbe, who lives on Cape Cod sent me. He has a wooden boat with an old Palmer in it and the boat in the picture looks just like his boat.
