I picked up this engine a year ago, and am finally getting around to working on it a little bit (slowly). I found (on line) an old ad, and evidently J D Wallace made and sold rough castings and sold them to vocational schools for students to learn about gas engines by building one. I have seen a couple photos of these and they were usually marine engines...mine is not, anybody own a J D Wallace?? Thanks

Richard and Eric,

I purchased this JD Wallace in August and just got around to playing with it. Needed a few fixes but runs pretty good now.

Your engine here is the only J.D. Wallace marine I have seen, may be others but a rare Old Marine Engine.

Thanks for good photos

Richard,

I have searched the Internet to the best of my ability and haven't found another. There are only handful of stationary engines, but I can't find any lititure on those. A set of the blueprints that came with the castings would be nice to find.

Thanks for posting the ad above.

Jim
