I'm making a keel cooler out of copper pipe and would like to hear some suggestions on what type of solder to use. Lead free, lead/tin, silver(what %)or what else?
Thanks,
Lou

Assuming you are on salt water, would not use ordinary solder. I'd use 45% Silver solder.

Lou, Check out "Pro-press" fittings. Non solder copper joints using a power crimp tool (tool can be rented )
