Hi Richard,
After reading your comments in the Mohawk thread, I am wondering:
Would it be better to start a new discussion on 2-3 port induction rather, than change theme of this one? I'm not trying to be critical, but asking the question. I've seen in the past , when searching, a thread will start out on one theme and do a 180 to something else. Then someone will start a new thread to continue the original theme because the theme changed. It muddies the water when looking for info.

Yup I agree. I was talking to Bob P today and was looking for a pic of the little Caile I had in a boat a few years ago. I found it in a Gray thread. Only because I came acros it while looking for something else.
Not saying we need to police everything that is posted. Nor should we! However for info on odd or rare stuff (like the 2/3 port stuff) It deserves it's own thread.
Last but not least half or more of the fun here is the way things tend to ramble. |

I have also noticed over the yrs that some threads go in quite different directions and also have wondered how to catagorize or keep certain subjects to themselves to be able to search subjects faster.
These were originated just a few yrs ago as chat sites to bring people and their similar interests together and have been so effective that now its evolved to a point that much more sophistication is being demanded, just as our specific knowlege, shows, restorations, displays and collections have become.
We have been and are most fortunate to have this great site to share our interests, combine our knowlege and meet the very special people that we would have never gotten to know in another time.
The above Mohawk thread was posted after discovering that the new find was indeed an early and unique 2-3 port engine and in the fascination of that technology and how it worked ! we discussed the thread before posting and it was a mutidimensional thinking, to share a new found old one lunger, to post photos of the engine for all interested to see and find any additional info about Mohawks also to probe the fascinating subject of the 2-3 port engines which was the original theme of the post. The additions of the grasser and Barker 2-3 port posts were not an after thought but a prior to posting discussion and an effort to continue the theme and not to cut it off or digress in any way.
