I recently bought a (new to me) boat with a couple of GrayMarine V8-225 engines. They have not been used for six years so we shall see. My real question is has anyone experience installing an electronic ignition in one of the V8's? Is it worth doing? What brand did you use PerTronix Ignition Systems,www.lectriclimited.com/breakerless_se or some other? I have not looked in detail at the distributor but the manual says it should be a Delco-Remy model 74214 or 74215 (std & opp rotation). Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
