I have this Nordberg engine in my 1956 Century Coronado boat, and would very much like a parts source, and have been unable to locate one yet.Any information would be greatly appreciated. I was told Nordberg may have used a Hercules long block assy. and built it under the Nordberg name, but at this time I have not been able to verify this. Any ideas?

David,
Nordberg were indeed Hercules based. Yours was probably a JXLD. They were based in Milwaukee, WI.
When they went out of business they sold all there parts to Universal in Oshkosh, WI. I ended up with the Hercules parts and some books. Mostly internal rebuild type stuff. There is a flat pad on the block about halfway back on the starboard side where the block meets the head. Your Hercules designation will be stamped there. Contact me direct for parts. drrot@finewoodboats.com
