1n 1905-?(1912-14??) there were THE Cont'l (Muskegon) AND CONTINENTAL ENGINE CO with various Chicago adds's...(no connection to Autocar Co, Chicago, predecessor of THE Cont'l)...this was the "beware of imitations" mentioned in THE Cont'ls ads 1905-06...
They produced a full line from 13/4 HP to 4cyl inline vert 150HP, auto, marine, st'ry, even light aircraft engines (per ads)...
Last listing per quick Googling was 1913 Blue Book Shipping/Naval Directory as marine engine m'f'r...
Anyone have an engine book that mentions what happened to them??? Many thxx!! Bud |
