I have the original owner manuals for the Twin/Pup.
Happy to share if people are interested.

This is my first post - I bought a boat with a Pup last summer and am hoping to get it running for Christmas!

Wish me luck!

Hi Gareth
Im restoring a Blaxland 2 cylinder pup and would dearly love a copy of the workshop manual. Have tried to attached a photo of the engine but file size is to large. Can Email photo if you wish.
Thks Jonesey

Hello Les
If Gareth does not respond I can send you the manual which I have on file .Carby also.
In fact I have a wealth of history on Chapman/Blaxland if anyone is interested ,
Aussie motors have lost interest on this site but there is so much info on their search engine .

Thanks Neil, I will take you up on the workshop manual. Could you send it electronically if I give you my Email address ( [email protected] ) Im also having problems with the engine after the overhaul, it does not idle smoothly. Had to use a Commando Brass Alpha carby which is one size bigger then the original. Not sure if thats the problem. If you reply to my above Email, I will send you a video clip of it running.
Many thanks Les

Thanks Neil for the manual. I see in the manual you need to put 1/8 pint of SAE50 into each sump, is there any easy way of adding the oil once the engine is together and is SAE30 oil Ok to use ?
Thks again Les

You can add the oil via a soft nozzle squeeze bottle drizzled into the carby horn while running the motor at good revs . Smokey but most will settle .Add more over time .Excess will burn. The sump is a splash type and the lube helps with compression .SAE 30 .Depends on detergents/additives .
Best try Tru-Blue 2 stroke Marine Vintage oil.
www.truebluoil.com.au .They are based in Melbourne and see if you can locate it in W.A.
Cheers and Happy Christmas with 2020 vision.

Thanks for your help Neil, I ended up adding the oil by taking the inlet manifold off and rotating the pistons to TDC to expose the port to the sump. Started the engine but massive amount of smoke which suspect will clear with more running. Thks again Les
