Hi, I have a WICO model A with impulse starter.
I would like to know if when timing them, do you time it to the impulse starter or the actual running speed timing?
I have it in a Simplex single cylinder..

For years I have set the timing so the impulse trips just at TDC or slightly before.
Hope this helps
Ernie
