Don, 1055HP is a 105HP, model year 1976. We have a listing of model numbers on the MarineEngine.com site at the following link: Chrysler Outboard ...although for some reason it doesn't show model 1055HB... I don't know what defined the the Charger models. Regards, Andrew |

That's a 1978 motor. I just checked the service manual... and it doesn't say, but I believe the gas to oil should be 50:1 for that motor. You can get more outboard help on the discussion board at MarineEngine.com. |

For manuals on these engines you might try http://www.boyceequipment.com/1533_2milmanuals.html or phone them at 1-800-748-4269 as they seem to have the manuals on all of these. |

I bought some stuff from Goverment Liquidation and a Giant Air Compressor was in the lot. Well I do not want the darn thing and am wanting to sell it. I do bot know if it runs or works nor do I care. I just do not want it. Will sell for $500 buyer to pickup from my office. The motor is a Chrysler 4cyl 32 cu.oh/v engine, serial # J090543 Model #SFL05-0003Date MFD 9/75 Mil Model #4A032-II Stock #NSN-2805-00-068-7512. There is another number but the plate is chipped so I have no clue what it is for but the number is DAAK01-74-C-5515. If noone wants to buy this, then I need a repair manual for it to make it run if it does not run. |

I have a Chrysler 12.9 boat motor - 1973, it belonged to my dad who is deceased. Does anyone have any idea how much it should be worth and if you can get parts for them now? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kathy |

Kathy, It isn't worth much. You should use it if you can. There is a NADA price guide here. You can get parts here or from a Mercury Marine dealer. |

Hoover, You should post that question in the Chrysler/Force catagory of the discussion board at MarineEngine.com. This site, OldMarineEngine.com is for old "inboards", not outboards. |

I have a 1970 Chrysler 5hp model 52ha and I have not used it for about 20 years. I believe the fuel/oil mix is 50:1, But I don't want to make a big mistake. Can anyone verify for me that this is correct? |

I just purchased a Chrysler 5HP model# 54HD 9533...Thiss puppy purrs like a kitten in idle but when you put it into FAST it stalls out. The motor has moved up to an higher altitude, does it need an idle adjustment or is there jets that need to be replaced? Thanks Suzie |

Try replacing the fuel filter and see what that does for the cause. Unless you're using this engine on Lake Titicaca in Peru 15,000 feet above sea level I don't think altitude would hurt a little motor like this. How high up are you? Try the filter first. |

orsimchick, You haven't given us any information on the motor... but if it's a Chrysler outboard, it's a 2 Stroke. We sell Chrysler Outboard manuals on the MarineEngine.com site. |

Hello, I just ran across this site as I was looking for info on a generator I purchased used from a friend. It is a Chrysler. Military model 2AO16-3. 16 c.i. , serial#- N-92635. Mnf. date, 5-72. It runs great - it just won't iddle. From the manual I found on here it looks like I am missing a spring, just behind the throttle lever. I took a big spring, hooked it on & tried it. That makes it iddle ( some what) but when I put a load on it, it didn't speed up on it's own - should it? Any help on where to find more info, where to find the right spring would be much apreciated. Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve, To answer your question re replies to posts... Yes they do get answered if there is someone on the site who knows the answer. Some times it may take a while for someone to come along and read the question.. Also, This site is primarily for "Old Marine Inboards" even though some outboards and others have been helped out. The site for most other types of marine propulsion is on the discussion board at... http://www.marineengine.com/discus/ Cheers, Dave |

1984 chrysler is leaking water at exhaust gasket I believe. It is leaking below the spark plugs, basically the very bottom gasket. Can I use any goop to try to seal this? Will this cause problems with acceleration? My boat steadily increases in speed. As it gets going faster the motor will start to "take off" but the initial acceleration is terrible. |

Handler, This board is for old inboard motors, like the antique one lungers you see in the drawing at the top of this page. It's not intended for questions and answers about outboards of any kind. You could try one of the many outboard motors discussion boards such as the Chrysler category on MarineEngine.com . Thanks. |

I have a air compressor ( military surplass )and it is a 8 cubic inch 4 cycle 1 cylinder engine. This thing is in perfect shape except when I tried to get it running I discovered the intake manifold was broke at the head. Part # on manifold is 9786E26-1 and the rest of the stats are: NSN-2805-00-068-7510 Serial # is MO43795 and it looks like Mil Model 1A08-111( roman numeral 3) .
