Not an inboard or is it ?

Wondered if you had to get your feet wet to
turn the flywheel ?
How was it started in deeper water ?

Geez - at 50 bucks, this was a very expensive outfit.
Clearly, the way this worked, was that your "man" who helped you on board, would get behind the boat, start your engine and off you'd go.
Then when you were returning to the dock, your "man" was there to catch the boat as you came in.
The only remaining issue was - "At what speed do you want to hit the dock?"

If you turn the tiller to the right or left it would be a natural to reach and pull the flywheel over. And if you were JB you would have reverse.}
